M6. Torsion Back
Terry motion follows positively helped by the easing rod.
A passive method is adopted to absorb variation in the yarn path length caused by the shedding with the torsion bar.
Warp tension is absolutely controlled with a load cell.
[1] Advance Adjustment
[1.1] Tentative Adjustment
(1) Slacken the warp tension on the gland beam (to 0
kg).
NOTE
: When the tension roller stops at a specific
position while the warp tension is being slack-
ened, the torsion of the torsion bar 6 is not
completely released.Be careful not to get your
hands, etc. caught because the spring force is
applied to the tension roller without releasing the
torsion completely.
※
Lowering the tension cannot completely release
the torsion of the torsion bar 6, because the
tension roller movement is limited by the
stopper 13 of the tension roller bracket 7 on the
left side of the weaving machine.
Be sure to perform the operation described below
to release the torsion of the torsion bar 6
completely.
(2) Put a stopper such as cloth between the tension
roller and the bolt to prevent your hand from
being caught.
(3) Loosen a bolt 2 (without removing it).
(4) Turn a warm 4 to release the torsion of a torsion
bar 6.
While releasing the torsion of the torsion bar 6,
the tension roller bracket 7 moves in the direction
of X.
(5) Turn the worm 4 while rocking the tension roller
with hand until the tension roller bracket 7
reaches a right angle to the warp line (gland warp
path) to release the torsion of the torsion bar 6
completely.
