Press the levers on both sides of the memory slot outward and remove the memory
slot cover.

Align the notch in the memory module with the notch in the connector, then carefully
press down on the module until the latches on the connector lock the memory
module into place.
Installing a memory module

Reinstall the access panel, reconnect all signal and power cables, then turn on the
server. For instructions, read steps 7 through 10 in
Maintenance overview
on page
53.
CAUTION: Installing a memory module the wrong way could damage the memory
module and/or the memory slot. Do not try to force a module into a slot.
