(4) Installation for large transducer
(Greater than 300mm in diameter)
There are two transducer installation methods. One is the reflection method and the other is the
transmission method. Generally, the reflection method is applied to small pipe (less than 500mm)
while the transmission method is used for larger diameter pipes. However the method to be
chosen may also depend on signal strength based on the pipe material and/or flow conditions.

Note: The distance between transducers needs to be determined prior to
transducer installation. Please refer to section 1.2.6 ~ 1.2.8 to
determine this distance before proceeding with the steps described
below for installation.
