12. Line up the scale on the calibration slide with the cross hairs in the microscope eyepiece.
Look through the right eyepiece on the microscope and use the joystick to move the stage.
Line up one of the vertical division lines on the calibration slide with the vertical cross
hair in the eyepiece. Use the diopter ring on the right lens if necessary to straighten the
cross hairs. The horizontal cross hair should be just above the shortest division lines so
you can see it clearly.
