Thermo Scientific

Vacuum Manifold

The vacuum manifold is located on the top right of the DSQ II, directly above the high
vacuum pump. The vacuum manifold is a thick walled, aluminum chamber that encases the
heart of the DSQ II

(the ion source, quadrupole, and ion detector). The vacuum manifold has

a removable cover, machined flanges on the front and rear, and various electrical feedthroughs
and gas inlets.
