5. Remove the ion detector.

a.
Disconnect the conversion dynode and electron multiplier connectors from the
connectors on the bottom of the vacuum manifold.
b. Remove the two screws holding the ion detector to the vacuum manifold.
6. Disassemble the ion detector and remove the multiplier.
