The following is an example of an occasional runt signal to
demonstrate how to quickly locate and find events of interest
by using the combination of Search and Navigate:
The input signal is a 2 V periodic square wave, in which
every 10ms there is a runt pulse with a height of 1/3 of the
normal amplitude:
First, set the trigger type to Runt to trigger on the dwarf
pulse. See the section “ Runt Trigger” for details.
Then turn on the Search function and operate Copy from Trigger in the search dialog
box so that the oscilloscope searches for the dwarf pulses according to the same setting
as the trigger.
Set the horizontal scale to 10 ms/div, then 9 markers with ~10 ms interval are shown on
the display, indicating that a total of 9 dwarf pulses were found in the full screen of 100
ms time range:
