a Use the
Train left
and
Train right
(arrow) buttons on the Operating Panel to turn
the white audio line (beam) to the most noisy area in the presentation.
b Make sure that the echo level for the selected audio beam is displayed in the
Echo Level
button on the
System Test
menu.
c Adjust the
Gain
until the echoes on the images on the SC90 presentation are
dynamic, and you can distinguish between the individual echoes.
7 Read the current echo level displayed by the
Echo Level
"button".
a Change the
Frequency
to the next available setting.
b Repeat this for each frequency that is shown in the result table.
c Fill in the test results in the table provided.
8 Connect the transceiver plug to the Transceiver Unit output.

Further requirements
If the noise level is higher than specified, you must check the reason(s) for this.
• Check the grounding of the Transceiver Unit.
• Verify that other electric equipment and/or machinery on board, such as cooling
systems, hydraulic pumps, electric motors etc, do not influence on the noise reading.
Switch off as much machinery as possible, especially electrical motors.
• Check for interference from other hydroacoustic systems.
• Check for environmental noise, such as other vessels in the vicinity or animal life.
