When La < Lb (Lc < Ld), turn the adjustment screw counterclock-
wise to decrease the height of the front frame side of the No. 4/5
mirror base unit.
Take note on how much the adjustment screw is rotated.
(One rotation of the adjustment screw will change the height by
2mm, and the difference of La – Lb will be changed by 4mm.)
@
Open the front cabinet and adjust through the adjustment hole.
Adjust in the same manner as
1
and
2
so that La = Lb and
Lc = Ld.
If the above adjustment is not satisfactory, then follow the proce-
dure below.
Adjustment procedure 2
1
Move the mirror base B rail position up and down (in the arrow
directions).
When La > Lb, shift the paper exit side mirror base B rail upward
by half of the difference of La – Lb.
When La < Lb, shift the paper exit side mirror base B rail
downward by half of the difference of La – Lb.
(Example) When La=12 and Lb=9, shift the paper exit side mirror
base B rail upward by 1.5.
When Lc > Ld, shift the paper feed side mirror base B
rail downward by half of the difference of Lc – Ld.
When Lc > Ld, shift the paper feed side mirror base B
rail upward by half of the difference of Lc – Ld.
(When moving the mirror base rail, hold he mirror
base rail handle to move the rail.)
2
Adjust in the same manner as
1
so that La=Lb and Lc=Ld.
3
After completion of adjustment, rotate the mirror base drive pulley
manually to full scan the mirror base A and mirror base B, and
check that the both mirror bases do not make contact with each
other.
(Note) When the mirror base rails is moved extremely, the
mirror bases may make contact each other. Be careful
of that.
(9) Center shift adjustment
For the center shift adjustment, make the original s shown below and
make a normal (100%) copy of it. Adjust the lens so that the center
image shift from the original center is within 1.5mm.
(Note) When the lens is moved, be sure to adjust the blank lamp
position. The blank lamp position is changed by chang-
ing the original center reference position.
