(7) Vertical skew adjustment
This adjustment must be performed in the following cases:
•
When the mirror base drive wire is replaced.
•
When No. 1 mirror base and No. 2 mirror base are replaced.
•
When a copy as shown below is made.

Making of the original for adjustment
Make the original for adjustment with A3 or 11

paper as

Place an A3 or 11

paper on the original table neatly to the
place as shown in figure at right.

With the original cover open, make 90% copy on A3 or 11

paper.

Measure La and Lb as shown below:
If the lead edge width (La) and the rear edge width (Lb) are the
same, there are no need for adjustment (procedures

Loosen the fixing screw of the rear frame side mirror base drive
pulley.
When La > Lb, rotate the rear frame side mirror base drive pulley
in the direction of arrow A. (Do not move the flange and the mirror
base drive pulley shaft.)
When La < Lb, rotate the rear frame side mirror base drive pulley
shaft in the direction of arrow B. (Do not move the flange and the
mirror base drive pulley shaft.)

Tighten the fixing screw of the mirror base drive pulley.
