2. Installation
The surrounding conditions of the machine affect the machine perfor-
mance greatly. Avoid installation to the following places.
•
Avoid high temperature, high humidity, low temperature, and low
humidity. Avoid sudden temperature change. (Avoid installation
near a stove, a humidifier, a cooler, etc.)
•
If not, paper absorbs moisture and dew forms in the machine,
causing paper jam or degraded image quality.
(Use condition: 15
∼
30°C, 20%
∼
85%RH)
For an ultrasonic humidifier, use pure water for it. If top water is
used for an ultrasonic humidifier, mineral components are dis-
persed to be accumulated in the copier, causing copy dirt.
•
Avoid a dusty place.
•
If dusts enter the machine, copy dirt or some troubles may occur.
•
Allow enough space around the copier for proper operation and for
ventilation. (Allow clearances from the walls as shown.)
•
Avoid a poorly ventilated place.
•
Ozone is produced during copying at a level which causes no
adverse effect to human bodies. When, however, making a great
volume of copies, it smells a little. It is better to install the copier in
a well ventilated place with a window or a ventilator.
@
If the copier is installed near a window, be careful not to subject
it to direct sunlight.
•
Avoid direct sunlight.
•
The plastic parts may be deformed or copy dirt may result.
•
Avoid a place where there is ammonia gas.
•
If the copier is installed near a diazo copier, copy dirt may result.
