Enter the [O.L] value in the previous displayed in section A of the lens
unit in the previous item into the following formula, and input the
obtained value and press PSW to store it.
49 – [(O.L. value) /2
×
10] = Corrected reference value
(Example) When the value is 1.2,
49 – (1.2/2
×
10) = 43 Input value
The preset value is determined so that the following conditions are
satisfied. When the No. 4/5 mirror reference value is greater than the
center value (49), the mirror is shifted apart from the lens to lengthen
the light path length. When the reference value is smaller than the
center value, the mirror is shifted toward the lens to shorten the light
path length.
(3) Resolution (focusing) adjustment
1
Execute simulation 48-01 to check that the preset value cor-
responding to the focal distance rank is set.

Execute the above key operation and press the message forward

LCD shows the following display, the preset value is displayed on the
copy quantity display, and the ready lamp is lighted.

If no value is previously set, set the reference set value according
to the procedure of "(2) No. 4/5 mirror reference position adjust-
ment. " make a copy with the test chart "UKOG-0089CSZZ" and
check the resolution (focusing).
3
Change the set value.
Enter the value to be set.

(Checking procedure)
After the No. 4/5 mirror reference value adjustment, check as follows.
1
Set the test chart (UKOG-0089CSZZ) or the resolution test chart
on the original table.
2
Make a normal copy with an A3 (11
″
×
17
″
) paper.
3
Check focusing on the copy center and the corners.
4
Check that focusing is proper and that the resolution is above 0.5
line/mm at the center and above 4.5 line/mm at the corners.
If focusing is not proper, shift the preset value of the No. 4/5 mirror
reference adjustment by one rank and repeat procedure

.
Repeat the above procedure until the above resolution conditions
are obtained.
(4) Vertical copy magnification ratio adjustment
This adjustment must be performed under the state where mirror
base A (No. 1 mirror), mirror base B (No. 2/3 mirror), and mirror base
C (No. 4/5 mirror) are in parallel (without distortion) and focusing is
proper.
This adjustment must be performed in the following cases:
•
When the installation position of the lens home position sensor
(LHPS) is shifted or the lens home position sensor is replaced.
•
When the lens is replaced.
•
When the mirror base is replaced or its installation position is
shifted.
•
When the main PWB is replaced (Not required when only the
EEPROM is replaced.)
•
When self diag U2 occurs.
1
Place the scale on the original table as shown in the figure.
2
Make a copy with an A4 (11

) paper.
Check if the center and
corners is in focus
