3
Compare the scale image length on the copy paper and the actual
scale length.
4
Calculate the vertical copy magnification ratio correction ratio from
the following formula.
Vertical copy magnification ratio correction ratio
= Original size Copy image size/ Original size
×
100%
(Example) Vertical copy magnification ratio correction ratio
= 100 – 99/100
×
100%= 1%

When the above key operation is performed, the preset value of
the vertical copy magnification ratio adjustment is displayed on the
copy quantity display.
6
Calculate the vertical copy magnification ratio adjustment preset
value from the following formula.
Vertical copy magnification ratio adjustment preset value
= The previous preset value (displayed in the above procedure
5
)
+ Vertical copy magnification ratio correction ratio
×
10
(Example) Previous preset value = 25, vertical copy magnification
ratio correction ratio = 1,
Vertical copy magnification ratio adjustment preset value
= 25 + 1
×
10 = 35

Enter the vertical copy magnification ratio adjustment preset
value.

When the preset value is changed by 1, the coy magnification
ratio is changed by 0.1%.
8
Make a normal copy and compare the scale image length and the
actual scale length.
9
If the scale image length is equal to the actual scale length, the
adjustment is completed. If not, repeat procedures

until
the above condition is satisfied.

(5) Horizontal copy magnification ratio adjustment
This adjustment must be performed in the following cases:
•
When the main PWB is replaced.
•
When the Main PWB RAM is replaced.
•
When self diag U2 occurs.
•
When the mirror motor is replaced.
The horizontal (paper passing direction) copy magnification ratio is
adjusted by changing the mirror base scan speed.
Adjustment procedure
1
Place the scale on the original table as shown in the figure, and
execute simulation 48-02. The machine goes into the warm-up
cycle, and the previously set value (1
∼
30) is displayed on the
copy quantity display. The ready lamp lights up. Under the state,
obtain the normal copy magnification ratio correction ratio.
Copy magnification ratio correction ratio
= Original size Copy image size/Original size
×
100%
2
Replace the displayed value with the copy magnification correc-
tion ratio obtained in
1
.
(Input value) = (Previously set value) + (Copy magnification ratio
correction ratio %)
×
10
(Example)
If the previously set value is 15, the input values in example of
1
and example of
2
are as follows:
•
Example 1: 15 + (–1
×
10) = 5
•
Example 2: 15 + (+1
×
10) = 25
