Checking the cooling water passage
cover anode
1. Check the anodes. Clean if there are
scales, grease, or oil.
CAUTION:
Do not oil, grease, or paint the anodes,
otherwise they will be ineffective.
2. Replace the anodes if excessively
eroded.
Installing the cooling water passage
cover
1. Install the anodes to the cooling water
passage cover.
2. Install the new gasket and cooling water
passage cover.
NOTE:
See the exploded diagram (5-41).
3. Tighten the cooling water passage cover
bolts to the specified torque in the
sequence shown.
4. Connect the flushing hose and fasten it.
