– Remove resonator for intake air

– Free air hose from air pipe.
– Open hose clips -arrows-, and remove air hose -1-.
– Pull connector off charge pressure sender - GX26- .
Note
Make sure to use the new tools to prevent the locking lugs of the
air intake pipe from breaking off.
– Remove air intake pipe
⇒ “2.2 Removing and installing the air intake pipe”,

– Press release buttons and disconnect hose -1- leading to ac‐
tivated charcoal filter.
– Seal all openings in charge and intake air system using plugs
from engine bung set - VAS 6122- .

The bolts -arrows- must be renewed.

Thoroughly clean thread on turbocharger.
– Remove bolts -arrows- and detach crankcase breather hose.
– Move clear electrical wiring harness -arrows-.
– Unscrew bolts -1, 3- and remove cover -2- for toothed belt for
coolant pump.
– Move clear electrical wiring harness -1- and coolant hose -2-.
– Loosen the hose clips -arrows-, remove the coolant hoses.
