INSTALLATION

Make sure that system conﬁ guration sufﬁ ces the SQL Server 2005 requirements. When all items listed show
Success in the Status ﬁ eld, you can proceed to install SQL Server 2005. If there exist any item without Success
status, consult your SQL Server administrator or Microsoft customer care for technical assistance. Click [Next]
to proceed.

Provide the Name and Company Name, and uncheck the [Hide advanced conﬁ guration options]. For proper
conﬁ guration of SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, this option must be unchecked to conﬁ gure the advanced
options in later installation steps. Click [Next] to proceed.
