Determines whether an ID sensor pattern is created during copy jobs.

2602 [PTL Setting (1st] PTL Setting (1st /2nd Copy Side)
Turns the PTL off and on. The PTL (Pre-Transfer Lamp) decreases the charge on the drum to
make better separation of the paper from the drum, and prevents stripper pawl marks on the
leading edges of copies.
Note:
• The PTL operates only when copying with plain paper or translucent paper. It does not
operate when copying with OHP, index sheets, or thick paper.
• If blurring occurs in images at the leading edges of copies, switch SP2602-001 off (set
to “0”).

ON/OFF Setting (1st
Side)
Turns the PTL lamp on/off during transfer to the front side of the paper
at normal speed. This setting is always off when thick paper or OHPs
are fed.

The timing can be adjusted with SP2602-002.
002 OFF Timing (1st Side)
Adjusts the length of the space from the leading edge where PTL
quenching is applied to the front side at normal speed. For example,
if you 3, then quenching will be done 3 mm from the leading
edge on the front side.
