How to handle errors 229
Paper jam on the print station
Introduction
If an error occurs in the print station, the print process stops.
The scan station continues to scan but you cannot start new jobs.
The print station clears the paper path by delivering sheets to their destination
if possible and by moving error sheets to the print tray. After the paper jam is
removed, you must close all doors and covers. The job continues, unless the
operator has to take some actions (remove clean sheets after clean job, reorder
tabs, remove partial set from finisher).
Clean job
If an error occurs in the warm area of the print station, the system can perform
a clean job. This clean job will prevent your prints from being reprinted. When
the clean job is completed a message appears to remove the clean sheets. The
job will continue after the operator has removed the 5 clean sheets.
The error screen
If a paper jam occurs, an error screen with the following information appears.

A message which indicates the problem.
■
A message with a general instruction or a list of areas that have a paper jam.
■
A picture of the print station with arrows which indicate where to remove
the paper.
■
A list of steps that you must take to remove the paper jam. The Océ
VarioPrint 2105 follows the actions and marks the steps that you take.
