The scan-to-file function

The scan-to-file function on the Océ VarioPrint 2105 was mainly developed for
Print-on-Demand and archiving purposes. You can use this function to scan
now and print later. The Océ VarioPrint 2105 offers a number of standard scan
profiles. These scan profiles contain predefined settings. These predefined
settings allow you to start a scan process with nothing more than a push on the
'Green button'.

The Océ VarioPrint 2105 uses well-defined standards, like TIFF and PDF
packaging for scanned documents. Scan files are compressed in size without
loss of quality before they are sent to a predefined directory on the scan server.
This compression adheres to standards like CCITT.T6. The use of standards
means that you can use applications developed by other vendors and
applications developed by Océ to process the scanned files.
