How to handle errors
Introduction
If an error occurs, the Océ VarioPrint 2105 stops to process. The system may
automatically close all open functions.

The 'Job queue manager'
■
The 'System manager'
■
The 'Paper manager'
The scan process and the print process are separate processes. If one process
of the two processes has an error, the other process will continue.
There are three types of errors that can occur on the Océ VarioPrint 2105.
■
ORE (operator recoverable error)
You must resolve the error locations before scanning or printing can
continue. After the error locations are resolved, the Océ VarioPrint 2105
will automatically continue with the active job unless the operator has to
perform an additional activity (reload remaining originals, reorder tabs,
etc). After this error the scan station and the print station will still be
standby.

MRE (machine recoverable error)
After this message the scan station or the print station goes to sleep mode.
You only need to turn on the corresponding station again. Follow the
instructions on the screen.

PE(permanent error)
If the scan station or the print station has a permanent error, both stations
stop. An error screen indicates that service is required. Only a service
technician can resolve the error and remove the message.
Errors handlers
There are several features that help you to resolve an error and that warn you
if attention is needed. These features are the screen messages, the light on the
top of the finisher and the error screen.
Screen messages A message shows you which areas you must inspect to find
the error. A drawing or photo shows you how to correct the error. After you
corrected the error, the error screen disappears and the Océ VarioPrint 2105
starts to process.
