Warning:
Please do not disconnect test leads during testing. Wait until results are shown
on the screen and discharge is finished. Removing clamps prior that can result
in high voltage spike, potentially hazardous electric shock and a permanent
damage of testing equipment.
Notes:
Consider displayed warnings when starting the measurement!
If error notification appears on screen at the beginning of the measurement (for
example V(H1-H2) > 10.0V), transformer might be supplied with auxiliary power
source. Inspect what might be the cause for that error, eliminate the fault and try
again.
If error notification appears on screen during the measurement (for example
I(X1-X2) < 1 mA), at least one clip indicated in the message is disconnected or
too high winding resistance is detected. Inspect what might be the cause for that
error, eliminate the fault and try again.
5.2.2 Three phase transformers
Before performing measurement, basic transformer data should be entered into the
instrument:
- H-X configuration
- Vector group (this info could be found on the transformer name plate
and is fundamental parameter for performing correct measurements)
- TAP position
MI 3280 DT Analyser has a single current source, so winding resistances is
measured sequentially (one by one).
