Maintenance
To ensure the highest level of performance of DGA Instrument, the following procedures and list of
Field Replaceable Units (FRU) have been generated so that periodic maintenance can successfully be
performed.

Battery Replacement
7.2.1
Replacing the EZHub Battery
Ensure you have the following parts and tools on hand prior to starting installation:

The battery life span will be approximately 8 years. After this period, the battery needs to be
replaced. The SmartDGA EZHub controller uses a standard non-rechargeable CR1632 coin-type
lithium battery. The battery is located on the left side of the SmartDGA EZHub controller (LTC Side)
and is clipped in directly on the main board.
Caution:
Battery replacement should only be performed by authorized personnel. There
is danger of explosion if the battery is mishandled or incorrectly replaced. Replace the
battery only with one of the same manufacturer and type or equivalent type
recommended.
Do not disassemble batteries or attempt to recharge them outside the system. Dispose of
batteries properly in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and local
regulations.
To replace the EZHub controller’s battery:
1.
Disconnect the input power from the bottom of the EZHub controller and remove all other
connections from the device prior to starting battery replacement.
