AEC-TPS – Actuator Extension Component Three Point Step
Extension Module for Three Point Step Actuators
4.2.1
For Your Safety
•
As an option, the AEC-TPS has 2 position acknowledgement inputs per motor. When us-
ing failsafe, single-channel feedback according to EN 12067-2, one input has one poten-
tiometer.
•
Feedback potentiometer used to verify the position of TPS motors must be of an approved
type in order to comply with the CMS certification.
•
The connection between the actuator drives and the actuator units must be positive-lock-
ing throughout and designed to operate with the maximum torque from the drive systems.
•
Via induction, motor movements create generator-like voltages in the open, inactive con-
trol circuit of the motor up to a maximum of double the supply voltage.
•
An inactive output has a residual voltage that can cause electric shock if touched.
