A total of 10 signal chains are available for linking together various input signals. These chains
can consist of up to 16 links. These links must be assigned to a physical input via the I/O matrix
in the CMS remote software package.
Input functions already assigned (e.g. minimum gas pressure and maximum gas pressure)
can also be assigned to a signal chain.
