example, with remains of insects
(adhering to the window), road
salt, elements of the road surface
you should clean outer face of the
window and blade with a soft
cloth using special detergents.
After cleaning, wash the window
and wiper blades with water.
3. Given that the windshield
wipers are for the traffic safety
system, it is recommended to re-
place the wiper blades at con-
stant use of the vehicle every six
months.
ACCUMULATOR BATTERY
To follow the level of electrolyte in
battery; electrolyte level must be
between marks
MIN
and
МАХ
(fig.
54), marked on semitransparent
cage of battery. The operation with
battery electrolyte level below
MIN
line is forbidden. If there are no
marks
MIN
and
МАХ
on the cage of
battery or the cage is non-transpar-
ent, the electrolyte level should be
10-15 mm above the top of separa-
tors.
Caution
Due to the fact that electrolyte
is corrosive fluid, it’s dangerous
for your health and vehicle parts,
so we recommend making main-
tenance of accumulator battery
on certified auto service stations.
To avoid deep discharge of bat-
tery, it’s necessary to charge it in
proper time.
If accumulator battery has density
indicator and electrolyte level indica-
tor («eyehole»), the status of battery
can be determined by its color:
– «eyehole» green – level and
density of electrolyte is normal;
– «eyehole» black – battery needs
recharging;
– «eyehole» white – electrolyte
level is below normal.
In the design variant
in the
absence of eyehole, the battery level
can be determined by voltage at the
terminals of battery: battery voltage
(no load) should not be less than
12,6 В (at 25°С, this corresponds to
75% charge level).
To check accumulator battery
charge level regularly, if:
l
You use vehicle for short urban
trips mainly.
