Glove boxes
To open side glove box, you need
to pull button 1 (Fig. 22а) of the lock
and then open box top 1. When the
top is open the inside of the glove
box is lighted with a lamp if the igni-
tion is on.
To open main glove box (Fig.
22b), you should pull up top 1, hold-
ing special long tab.
Socket for additional electrical
equipment
In the design variant vehicles
are equipped with the socket for
additional electrical equipment (Fig.
23а), which is used to connect only
12-volt electrical appliances with
power output of at most 120 W.
In the design variant instead of
the socket for additional electrical
equipment, vehicles are equipped
with the cigarette lighter (Fig. 23b).
To use the cigarette lighter, press the
socket button until it is fixed. In about
20 seconds, the socket automatical-
ly returns to its initial position, ready
for use.
ATTENTION!
1. Do not press the cigarette
lighter for a long time, this can
lead to overheating it and burning
out the spiral. In this case,
bimetallic fuse of the cigarette
lighter will actuate that will lead to
blowing the fuse plug in the vehi-
cle setting block.
2. Do not clean the spiral of the
lighter moving part with metal
objects, it may cause damage to it.
3. When replacing you should
use cigarette lighters of only
types that are recommended for
your vehicle, and only of those
manufacturers who have the con-
clusion of JSC «AVTOVAZ».
