To keep the engine from very high
speed when driving change gears in
time. Thus, you will reduce engine
wear and fuel consumption.
ATTENTION!
The vehicle engine is designed
to use gasoline the octane num-
ber of which must be not lower
than that specified in Appendix 1.
Vehicle operation with using
gasoline with a lower octane
number will lead to the failure of
engine!
Regularly check tire air pressure,
as operation of tires pressure of
which is higher than recommended
(see the section «Tires and wheels»),
leads to premature wear, increased
fuel consumption, as well as reduc-
tion of stability and readability of the
vehicle.
Warning
Even if pressure on one axis is
only 0.02 – 0.03 MPa more than
on the other one, it makes driving
bad and when emergency braking
it can lead to skidding of the vehi-
cle!
The vehicle is equipped with the
clutch cable with the clutch lining
wear compensation mechanism, due
to which the drive is not adjusted
manually for all service life of linings.
To avoid slipping of the clutch, after
changing the gear and throwing in
the clutch take your foot off the
pedal.
ATTENTION!
While driving, do not keep your
foot on the clutch pedal and do
not keep your hand on the gear
lever, this may result in damage
and premature wear of parts of
the gear-change lever.
When using the pedal to throw
in the clutch, gear components
are opened and closed in the
clutch lining wear compensation
mechanism that can be accompa-
nied with a click.
This click should not raise fears
that the clutch linkage works
improperly; it can appear and dis-
appear as the linings wear, and
clutch engagement as well as
declutching is fully guaranteed.
Always clean terminals and bat-
tery clamps and check them for reli-
able connection. Note that corrosion
of terminals and clamps as well as
their poor connection cause poor
contact sparking that can lead to fail-
ure of electronic car equipment.
Also, do not check operation of the
generator when the engine is run-
ning by removing the clamps from
the battery.
Warning
The vehicle is equipped with
high energy ignition system.
Therefore, with the engine run-
ning do not touch the ignition sys-
tem components: it is dangerous.
In addition, it is not recommended
to carry out spark test of high-volt-
age circuits, as this may lead to fail-
ure of ignition system components.
When servicing a vehicle with an 8-
valve engine check high-voltage
wires for reliable connection to coils
and sparkplugs.
When dismantling high-voltage
wires from ignition system devices
hold to their protective caps.
Do not
touch high-voltage wires when
dismantling!
To avoid discharging the battery
when the engine is not running, do
