steering box you should control
the rotation speed of the steering
wheel in extreme positions and
apply no force when the rack
rests against the limiter.
It is not recommended to drive
with a faulty EAS when the control
indicator lights up in the instru-
ment cluster.
The failure cause of the EAS
must be located and removed as
soon as possible at any certified
SSNE.
The EAS does not work or can
be switched off in the following
situations:
– if the vehicle engine does not
run;
– if the vehicle speed sensor is
disconnected;
– if the vehicle is parked for a
long time (more than 5 minutes)
with the engine running at a
speed of 1,500 min
-1 ;
– if the car-system voltage is
reduced;
– if idle run of the vehicle
engine has low speed of rotation.
Such disconnections are
caused by the EAS operation
algorithm and are not a malfunc-
tion.
FEATURES OF VEHICLE
OPERATION WITH DAYTIME
RUNNING LIGHTS
Vehicles’ composition 2192 and
2194 (regardless of variant versions)
includes daytime running lights,
which are intended to ensure better
visibility of vehicle during driving in
the daytime because of higher pho-
tometric parameters in comparison
with parking lights. Daytime running
lights are located in headlamps and
are activated automatically at the
moment, when ignition key is in the
position «ignition».
In variant version daytime run-
ning lights switch on automatically
after engine start. Daytime running
lights work continuously from the
beginning of movement to switching
off the engine and they switch off
only in case of parking lights are on.
Caution
It is not recommended to
switch on parking lights in day-
time and in good visibility, as it
will switch off daytime running
lights, reduce safety and breach
traffic safety rules.
VEHICLE DRIVING
Start driving the vehicle only after
cleaning windows of ice, snow and
after fogging to a level that ensures
safety.
Driving the vehicle with negative
ambient temperature is recommend-
ed to start no earlier than in 30 sec-
onds after starting the engine. To
provide a partial warming of the oil in
the gearbox it is necessary for the
engine to run for some time at the
minimum idling speed when the
clutch pedal is released. If you do not
have such possibility, and you warm
up the engine and the gearbox while
driving, after a long parking at a low
ambient temperature it is recom-
mended for some time to drive in
lower gears at low speed of the
engine shaft. While you warm up the
oil in the gearbox then consistently
change to higher gears.
ATTENTION!
To avoid damaging the gear-
change control lever inside the
gearbox due to frozen oil, do not
apply force to the gear lever and
do not throw in.
