Side air bag is used as an addi-
tional installation to seat belts of
the driver and the passenger.
Therefore, during driving always
wear seat belts. Air bags deploy
only in case of certain side
impacts that endanger safety of
the driver and passengers.
To ensure the best protection
against side impact and preven-
tion of injuries as a result of actu-
ating side air bag the driver and
front seat passenger should sit
straight and be properly fastened
with seat belts. Driver's arms
should hold the steering wheel in
the positions of 9:00 and 3:00.
Passenger should keep hands
and arms on his/her hips.
Do not put any additional cov-
ers on seats. The use of covers
can reduce system efficiency
down to zero.
Do not install any accessories
on the sides of the passenger com-
partment or near side air bags.
Do not place any objects over
the air bag or between it and
yourself.
Do not place any objects (an
umbrella, a bag, etc.) between
the front door and the front seat.
Such objects can become dan-
gerous and cause injury in the
event of actuating side air bag.
To prevent unexpected side air
bag deployment that can lead to
injury, avoid impacts with side
impact sensor, located in the cen-
tre pillar, with the ignition on.
If the seat or its upholstery is
damaged you should contact any
certified SSNE.
Do not break down and change
seat construction and interior
trim elements. These procedures
must be carried out by qualified
personnel at certified SSNE.
