ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM
Check the coolant level in expan-
sion chamber 1 (Fig. 51) only in the
cold engine. The coolant level must
be between
MIN and MAX marks
applied on the housing of the expan-
sion chamber, which is made of
translucent material providing visual
control of the flied level. In the oper-
ation of the vehicle the coolant level
in the expansion chamber can be
lowered. Top up the coolant (see
Annex 1) through the hole closed
with plug 2. After topping up the fluid
the plug must be tightly turned up, as
the expansion chamber with the
engine running and warmed up is
under pressure.
Warning
To avoid burns, you should
open the plug of the expansion
chamber for topping up the
coolant only in the cold engine.
In cases when the coolant level is
constantly dropping and you often
have to refill the coolant, refer to any
certified SSNE.
The brake fluid level in reservoir 3
(Fig. 52) installed on the brake mas-
ter cylinder visually check according
to the marks on the housing of the
reservoir, made of translucent plas-
tic. When you remove plug 2, sensor
2 of the emergency brake fluid level
and new brake shoe linings the brake
fluid level must be on
MAX. After
installing plug 2 and sensor 1 the
brake fluid level should be at the
lower edge of the filler of the reser-
voir.
If the hydraulic brake system is in
good repair, reducing the fluid level in
the reservoir may be due to wear of
