moved as back as possible to the
driver, in order to have a possibility to
hold the steering wheel in hands
slightly bent at the elbows being in
the upright sitting position. You
should move back the front passen-
ger's seat as fast as possible and set
the seat back to the vertical position
so as not to have inconvenience and
discomfort. Improper sitting in the
event of airbag deployment could
result in serious injury or death. Air
bags are needed in space to be filled
with gas.
ABS is a single-use self-contained
unit and requires no maintenance
during operation of the vehicle. After
actuating ABS the control unit and
airbag modules, seat belts with pre-
tensioner must be replaced at any
certified SSNE.
ATTENTION!
1. Air bag does not replace
seat belt, it only serves as its
additional installation that is why
always wear your seat belt. Those
who do not use seat belts, run the
risk of suffering more severe
injuries or even being thrown out
of the vehicle in road accidents, it
might result in death. In a road
accident the belt helps to ensure
you the safest sitting position in
which the air bag can provide the
most effective protection.
2. Do not attach any objects to
the steering wheel and the instru-
ment panel, because they can
cause injury while the air bag
deploys. The same danger exists
in cases when the driver or the
passenger smokes a pipe or uses
a mobile phone while driving.
3. When driving, do not put
your forearm/palms to the place
where the air bag is mounted.
4. When driving the front seat
passenger must not bear on the
instrument panel and hold any
objects that may cause injury if
the ABS actuates.
5. The ABS diagnostics LED
must be switched on for 3-4 sec-
onds after switching the ignition
and then be switched off.
Subsequent switching of the
diagnostics LED during operation
of the vehicle means that there
has been detected a fault in the
ABS, that's why its activation in a
frontal crash is not guaranteed.
6. Do not affect the ABS. All
work on it should be performed
only at certified SSNEs by spe-
cially trained personnel.
7. After actuating air bags,
some elements of the system may
be of high temperature. To avoid
burns, do not touch hot parts.
8. Skin surfaces, which have
signs of irritation, should be thor-
oughly washed with a soap solu-
tion. If eye irritation, wash them
with clean water. In case of
steady troubles you should seek
medical attention.
9. When scrappaging the vehi-
cle it is required to dismantle ABS
units at the SSNE.
In the design variant
front seats
are equipped with side air bags. Side
air bags are designed to provide
additional protection for the driver
and/or front seat passenger in the
event of side crash (in addition to the
protection provided by seat belts).
Side air bags do not deploy on all
side impacts; they deploy only on
those side impacts that are danger-
ous for the driver and passengers.
Warning
Do not allow passengers to
lean out of doors, put any objects
between doors and passengers, if
they are on seats equipped with
side air bags.
