If you selected Initialize:
Press the OK button to execute Initialize, or press the
Cancel button
if you decide not to execute. (
☞
For the
parameters and values that will be set, refer to p.66)
If you selected Resample SEQ Play:
1)
Use “Save to” to select either RAM or MEDIA as the
destination to which the resampled data will be written.
If you select RAM, the data will be written to sample
memory (RAM). If you select MEDIA, the data will be
written to media as a WAVE file.
2)
If you selected “Save to” RAM, you can specify
whether the data will be automatically converted to a
program after sampling. If you want the data to be con-
verted, check “Convert to Program” and use the “Pro-
gram” field to specify the convert-destination program.
3)
Press the OK button to execute Resample SEQ Play,
or press the Cancel button if you decide to cancel. (
☞
For
the parameters and values that will be set, refer to p.66)
a)
When you want to resample, execute Resample SEQ
Play, press SAMPLING [REC], press SAMPLING
[START/STOP], and then play the keyboard. Since
“Trigger” (0–7b) is set to Note On, sampling will begin
at the first note-on. When you’re finished performing,
press the SAMPLING [START/STOP] key to stop resa-
mpling.
b)
Here’s how to listen to the data that was sampled.
If you specified “Save to” RAM and checked “Convert
to Program,”
go to Program mode, select the program
you specified, and play the C2 note to hear the sample.
If you didn’t check “Convert to Program,” use Sam-
pling mode to select and audition the sample.
If you executed with “Save to” MEDIA, use the page
menu command “Select Directory” (0–7, Program P0:
0–3D) to audition the sample.
c)
To change the RAM bank used for sampling (when
using “Save to” RAM), use the page menu command
“Select Bank & Smpl No.” (0–7A).
If you want to change the save-destination for the
WAVE file (when using “Save to” MEDIA), use the
page menu command “Select Directory” (0–7, Program
P0: 0–3D).
d)
To change the way in which sampling is initiated,
change the “Trigger” setting.
e)
If you want to simultaneously sample an external
audio source from AUDIO INPUT etc. together with
your own playing on a program, set the Sampling page
Input 1, 2 “BUS (INF/Indiv.) Select” setting to L/R,
and the “Source BUS” to L/R.
f)
If you executed Resample SEQ Play with “Save to”
RAM selected and “Convert to Program” checked, you
can simply continue sampling without changing the
settings, and successive samples will automatically be
assigned to C#2, D2, ... etc.
If you selected In-Track Sampling:
1)
Use “Source Audio” to select the external audio input
source.
If you select Analog, the analog audio output from an
instrument etc. connected to AUDIO INPUT 1, 2 will be
input to the TRITON Extreme.
If you select S/P DIF, the digital audio output from an
instrument or DAT player etc. connected to the S/P DIF
IN jack will be input to the TRITON Extreme. (P0: 0–7a
“Input,” Global P0: 0–3a “Input”)
2)
Use “Mono-1/Mono-2/Stereo” to select the input
source and the number of channels you will sample.
The Mono-1 setting will sample from Input1 to L-
MONO, Mono-2 will use Input2 to sample to R-MONO,
and Stereo will use Input 1, 2 to sample in stereo.
3)
Use the “To” field to select the track that you will use
for In-Track Sampling. Note data will automatically be
written to the track you select.
4)
Use “Program” to specify the program into which the
sample will be converted. When sampling ends, the
entire process of creating a new multisample through
converting it to a program and assigning it to a track will
be performed automatically.
5)
To execute In-Track Sampling, press the OK button. If
you decide not to execute, press the Cancel button.
(
☞
For the parameters and values that will be set, refer to

go to the Sequencer P0: Play/REC Sampling page and
set Input 1, 2 “BUS (IFX/Indiv.) Select” to IFX1–IFX5.
