In its various data formats, the TRITON Extreme maintains
data compatibility with the TRITON/TRITON pro/TRITON
proX and TRITON-Rack. Data can be exchanged by using a
media to load/save, or by using MIDI exclusive data dump
or parameter changes. However, you must be aware of the
following points.
KARMA Music Workstation (system version 1.0 and 2.0)
format and TRITON Le format .PCG/.SNG files can be con-
verted as they are loaded.
However, please note the following points.
In the following explanation, the term “TRITON” refers
collectively to the TRITON/TRITON pro/TRITON
proX.
[1] Parameters that are valid on the TRITON
Extreme but not on the TRITON STUDIO, TRI-
TON-Rack, and TRITON.
1-1. Multisample settings in Program mode
• TRITON Extreme
→
TRITON STUDIO, TRITON-
Rack, TRITON (.PCG file load/MIDI data dump/MIDI
parameter change):
These models do not have the corresponding multisam-
ples (corresponding to the EXB bank), and therefore will
not sound or operate correctly.
1-2. Global mode P5: Drum Kit drum sample settings
• TRITON Extreme
→
TRITON STUDIO, TRITON-
Rack, TRITON (.PCG file load/MIDI data dump/MIDI
parameter change):
These models do not have the corresponding drum sam-
ples (corresponding to the EXB bank), and therefore will
not sound or operate correctly.
1-3. Program, Combination, Sequencer mode VALVE FORCE
parameters
• TRITON Extreme
→
TRITON STUDIO, TRITON-
Rack, TRITON (.PCG file load/MIDI data dump):
The parameter settings are preserved by these models as
internal data, but the data will be ignored. If you save
this state as a .PCG file and load it into the TRITON
Extreme, or transmit it to the TRITON Extreme as a MIDI
data dump, the parameter settings will be initialized.
• TRITON Extreme
→
TRITON STUDIO, TRITON-
Rack, TRITON (MIDI parameter change):
These models do not receive MIDI parameter changes for
VALVE FORCE.
1-4. Program, Combination, Sequencer mode REALTIME
CONTROLS [SELECT] C mode settings
• TRITON Extreme
→
TRITON STUDIO, TRITON
(.PCG file load/MIDI data dump/MIDI parameter
change):
Realtime Controls C parameter settings are preserved by
the TRITON STUDIO and TRITON as internal data, but
the data will be ignored; either A or B mode settings will
be used. If you save this state on the TRITON STUDIO or
TRITON as a .PCG file or perform a MIDI data dump, the
data will be output with the settings that were loaded or
received.
• TRITON Extreme
↔
TRITON-Rack (.PCG file load/
MIDI data dump/MIDI parameter change):
C-mode settings will be used.
[2] Parameters that are valid on the TRITON
Extreme and TRITON STUDIO but invalid on the
TRITON
2-1. Arpeggio pattern settings in Program, Combination, and
Sequencer modes
• TRITON Extreme, TRITON STUDIO
→
TRITON
(.PCG file load/MIDI data dump/MIDI parameter
change):
The TRITON does not have user arpeggio pattern num-
bers “U232 (E-C)–U506 (User),” and will not sound or
operate correctly.
• TRITON Extreme, TRITON STUDIO
→
TRITON-
Rack (.PCG file load/MIDI data dump/MIDI parameter
change):
The TRITON-Rack does not have user arpeggio pattern
numbers “U328 (User)–U506 (User),” and will not sound
or operate correctly.
2-2. Global mode parameters of the TRITON Extreme, TRITON
STUDIO
Input (COMBI, PROG, SEQ, S.PLAY, MEDIA)
: S/P DIF In
• TRITON Extreme, TRITON STUDIO
→
TRITON-
Rack or TRITON
(.PCG file load/MIDI data dump):
Data other than this data will be loaded by the TRITON-
Rack or TRITON.
System Clock
• TRITON Extreme, TRITON STUDIO
→
TRITON
(.PCG file load/MIDI data dump):
The parameter setting will be saved by the TRITON as
internal data, but this data will be ignored. When the
TRITON saves a .PCG file or performs a MIDI data dump
in this state, the setting that was loaded or received via
MIDI data dump will be output.
System Clock “S/P DIF” setting
• TRITON Extreme, TRITON STUDIO
→
TRITON-
Rack (.PCG file load):
The parameter setting will not be loaded by the TRITON-
Rack.
Receive Ext. Realtime Command
• TRITON Extreme, TRITON STUDIO
→
TRITON-
Rack or TRITON (.PCG file load):
The setting of this parameter is saved by the TRITON-
Rack and TRITON as internal data, but the data itself will
be ignored. If this state is saved by the TRITON-Rack or
TRITON as a .PCG file, the file will be saved in the state
that was loaded.
WAVE file Play Level
Auto Optimize RAM
• TRITON Extreme, TRITON STUDIO
→
TRITON-
Rack or TRITON (.PCG file load/MIDI data dump):
These parameter settings will be saved by the TRITON-
Rack or TRITON as internal data, but this data will be
ignored. When the TRITON-Rack or TRITON saves a
.PCG file or performs a MIDI data dump in this state, the
settings that were loaded or received via MIDI data
dump will be output.
• TRITON-Rack or TRITON
→
TRITON Extreme,
TRITON STUDIO (MIDI data dump):
These parameters will be set to “Normal” and “Off”
respectively.
