Common Commands
*TRG
The *TRG (trigger) command is identical to the group execute trigger (GET) mes-
sage or RUN command.
Syntax
*TRG
Description
This command acquires data according to the current settings. This command can-
not be issued as a query. If a measurement is already in progress, a trigger is ignored,
and an error is generated.
Example
The following example starts the data acquisition according to the current settings.
OUTPUT 720;”*TRG”
*TST?
The *TST (test) query starts a self-test on the instrument.
Syntax
*TST?
Description
The result of the test is placed in the output queue. A zero indicates the test passed
and a non-zero value indicates the test failed. The instrument will initiate a measure-
ment and check for any hardware errors after the measurement is complete.
