Belt tension test with logger
Fasten the logger at the top tier as far away
from the outfeed as possible.
In case the belt speed is 30 m/min the logger
must be fastened at the infeed to get a steady
belt tension at the outfeed.
The belt tension test must be run at low,
medium and high belt speed.
Adjusting sprocket combination
To achieve the correct belt tension you need to
adjust the gear ratio between the motor and the
drive shaft.
Increase tension
Big increase:
Increase the motor sprocket wheel or decrease
the drive shaft sprocket wheel with one or more
teeth.
Small change:
•
Big motor sprocket. Refer to illustration 2
Decrease both sprocket wheels.

Small motor sprocket. Refer to illustration 3:
Increase both sprocket wheels.
Decrease tension
Big change:
Decrease the motor sprocket wheel or increase
the drive shaft sprocket with one or more teeth.
Small change:
•
Big motor sprocket. Refer to illustration 2:
Increase both sprocket wheels.

Small motor sprocket. Refer to illustration 3:
Decrease both sprocket wheels.
