SERVICE INFORMATION
Operating conditions
Temperature of incoming air
The temperature of the air fed into the air dryer
should not be higher than +30°C.
Air pressure
The air pressure should be 7 bar. A lower pres-
sure will reduce the efficiency of the air dryer.
Note!
Make sure that the system is depressurised
when handling parts of the air dryer.
Water and oil filter
The air fed into the air dryer should not con-
tain any liquid water or oil. Therefore, the air is
passed through a liquid filter and a oil filter with
automatic drain. For dryer size H4 the filters are
F74G and 74C. For dryer size H6 and M1H the
filters are F68G and F68H.
The automatic drain mechanism
When the water in the filter bowl has reached a
certain level the automatic drain should open a
valve in the bottom of the bowl.
• If the automatic drain does not open the
filter will be filled with water.
• If the automatic drain does not close, air will
blow out and the pressure will drop.
Note!
If the pressure drops shortly after the filter has
been re-assembled, the reason may also be a
damaged rubber gasket.
Filter type F74C
The filter element can not be cleaned. It should
be exchanged if choked, red filter indicator. (Av-
erage life time one year).
Re–assembly
Make sure that the gaskets are not damaged at
re–assembly. Apply silicon grease on the gas-
kets. Do not tighten to hard.
