Exporting, Displaying and Printing Configuration and
Protocol (with QPad)

Connection via USB / Bluetooth available; see p.50;
Set up port / interface via QPadComm.
1.
Make sure that USB / Bluetooth access is available.
Also see the QPadComm manual. If Bluetooth is to be used,
connect a USB dongle (V.2.1 and higher) to the computer and (with
Windows10, for example) via “Bluetooth settings” pair device
QPadX3000 with the computer and, after
BT Pairing
has been
displayed, test whether the PINs are the same at the QPad display
and at the computer screen and, if so, confirm pairing at both PC
and QPad display.
If USB is to be used, connect QPad to the computer via a USB cable.

Via QPadComm, menu “Interface”, item “Setup”, select the port (COM3, for
example), adjust the baud rate (Bluetooth: 9600 Baud)
and select “OK”.
You have adjusted the port settings for data transfer.

Unlock the system by opening lock 1 or by opening all locks.

With Bluetooth selected,
BT Pairing
is on display. If the PINs displayed at the
operating unit and at the computer screen correspond, confirm this on both sides.

Via QPadComm, menu “Interface”, open the port by selecting “Open”Select.
Data connection
is on display.

S
tart export into QPadComm by selecting “Read” in QPadComm and select button
”Protocol” of section “Overview” in order to display the protocol.
With “Read” selected, the configuration of the lock is exported to QPadComm.
With a Bluetooth connection, this process may last a few minutes.
9.
When QPadComm indicates “Configuration successfully read”, close the port via
QPadComm, menu “Interface” by selecting “Close” there.
The connection is cleared and a message indicates this.
10.
In order to print the protocol, select button “Overview” and the printer symbol.
The protocol is printed. With button csv export you can export it as a csv file. You
can print the configuration by selecting button
“Overview” and the printer symbol.
You have successfully exported configuration and protocol to QPadComm.
