User Authorisation
Before entering code, users enter their user
– or personnel number (“staffnb” on the
display of the operating unit).
The system administrator defines the authorisation of users via PC software by ticking /
marking boxes for persons at locks in a user matrix (PC software; descriptions of these
boxes see below). The authorisation within a lock system can be changed via optional
PC software.
In order to establish a certain order of authorisation in system EloStar, the system
administrator imports a configuration generated with PC software into system EloStar.
In order to grant a user the right to open a lock, the lock master (holder of the master
code of the lock) also has to register one or more of the following items for the user at
the lock:

PIN code / and
•
Code card or / and
•
RFID card

If box
Release
is not ticked / marked for a user in the user matrix, this user will not have
any rights and no function will be available for her or him.

Additionally, the value „RFID“ and the proper kind of RFID card has to be set for
parameter „Chip card“ on tab „Settings“ via software TwinComm / field “Type” of code

Personal PINs can be transmitted via RFID.
OTCs (1x codes / single-use codes) cannot be transmitted via RFID.
