PIN Codes
Caution
The system is not protected with ex works versions of system
manager
– and master code.
Danger of unauthorised opening.
Due to security reasons, change the ex works versions of codes as
soon as possible.

Types and Numbers of PIN Codes in Every Lock
- 1 system code (without authorisation for lock opening)
- 1 master code (with optional authorisation for lock opening)
- 1 CIT master code (with optional authorisation for lock opening)
- 98 / 99 PIN codes for users with optional authorisation for lock opening, see section
„User Authorisation“ in this chapter.
Among other codes, every lock provides a manager code. With the manager code of lock
no.1, the whole system can be configured. This code is also called
system manager
code, system code
in short, and its bearer is called
system manager
.
With the
master code
of a lock, the PIN codes of the users can be registered and
deregistered. The code bearer is called the
lock master
.
The system code and the manager codes cannot be deregistered / deleted. One person
can act as system manager and as lock master (danger of destroying the system). After
having been programmed, the codes have to be authorised.
The lock can be opened with
PIN codes for users
registered by the lock master.
With option „User groups“ selected, two user groups have to be administrated separately.
The first group (user no.01 to user no.XX) is administered by the holder of the master
code. The second group (no.XX-no.98 is administered by the
CIT master
(user no.99)
that has been registered by the master before.
The group size can be set via optional software (TwinComm, for example). Ex works,
users no. 01- no. 50 form group I, users no. 51-98 form group II.
PIN codes for users are not programmed ex works, but they are activated. They can be
programmed / registered and deregistered by the lock master. Users can change their
codes.
Every PIN code has 6 digits with system EloStar Master of VdS class 2 / B.
The master code, assigned to user no. 00,
is ‘123456’ with systems of VdS class 2 ex
works. The manager code of a lock as well as the system manager code of lock no. 01,
assigned to user no.
225, is ‘111111’ ex works.
