Caution
Danger of getting injured and the danger of causing damage /
malfunctions for persons who do not carry out the assembly
professionally.
Make sure only trained specialists assemble and install the system.
Inappropriate wiring can cause failure and loss of functions.
Make sure you use the cables that come with the lock system only
and make sure the max. cable length is not more than 5 meters.
Danger of damage and functional loss of the system caused by
contact of system components to aggressive materials.
Do not expose the system components to material with that they
might react chemically (aggressive cleaning agents, surfaces not fully
dried and hardened, solvents and their vapours, for example).
5.1
Survey Assembly and Installation
1.
Mount the system components at the door / inside the safe / container
without
connecting the components to the
power supply
(without batteries as well) as
described in the following paragraphs:
Operating unit (QPad starting on p.30, FlatControl on p.34)
Lock (p.38)
Extension unit EloXT II (p.40).

Connect the terminals of extension unit EloXT II (p.41).
3.
Connect the operating - and the extension unit via bus cable to the lock (p.45).
4.
Connect the power supply, 12VDC, (p.45, never use both options simultaneously).

with mains adapter
or
with batteries via adapter cable
The system is started by connecting it to the power supply. Messages on the
display guide the user through the installation process.

Initialise the system by registering the lock, which is connected as
master lock like described in chapter
‘
Start-Up
’, beginning on p.45.
The following setting of system time and date will be assigned to all timer
programs.

After the installation test the opening and closing process of the lock.
7.
With the lock being open, you can set system parameters.
8.
Change the system manager- / and the master code of the lock immediately after
the installation to make the system secure.
9.
Test the new codes with the safe / container open and seal EloXT II with the
adhesive seals “VdS”.
10. Stick the menu keypad to the operating unit in order to protect the unit from
manipulation.
