Cabling the Ethernet LAN port
To attach the Ethernet cables, complete the following steps.
Attention:
To avoid damage to the Ethernet connector on the Remote Supervisor
Adapter, do not plug the ASM Interconnect module into the Ethernet (RJ-45) port.
1.
Connect one end of a Category 5 Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the
Remote Supervisor Adapter. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to
your network.
2.
Check the Ethernet LEDs. The location of the LEDs is shown in the following
illustration.
