ASSEMBLING THE FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS
WARNING:
• All internal brake components should be
cleaned and lubricated with new brake
fluid only before installation.
Must use DOT4 Brake Fluid
• Replace the caliper piston seals and dust seal
whenever a brake caliper is disassembled.
1. Install:
• caliper piston seals

• dust seals

2. Install:
• brake caliper pistons

INSTALLING THE FRONT BRAKE
CALIPERS
The following procedure applies to both of the
front brake calipers.
1. Install:
• brake caliper assembly
• bolt flange
48Nm (4.8m · kg,35 ft · lb)
• brake hose
①
• copper washers
②
• union bolt

NOTE
:
When installing the brake hose on the brake
caliper, make sure that the brake pipe touches
the projection a on the brake caliper.
WARNING:
Proper brake hose routing is essential to insure
safe vehicle operation.
2. Fill:
• brake reservoir
Must use DOT4 Brake Fluid
NOTE:
Brake fluid may damage painted surfaces
or plastic parts. Always clean up spilled
brake fluid immediately.
3. Air bleed:
• brake system
4. Check:
• brake fluid level
Brake fluid level is below the “LOWER” level line
Add the recommended brake fluid to the
proper level.
