Alarms
NOTE: The automatic alarm graph feature defaults off (factory defaults)
in Neonatal-ICU and Operating Room modes. This feature can be
turned on and saved as a Monitor Default. Refer to Monitor Setup
chapter.
NOTE: The nurse call system connected to the Aux port on the back of the
monitor is activated when a patient status alarm occurs. The
alarm level that activates the alarm is determined by the Remote
Alarm Level set in the Monitor Defaults, SETUP DEFAULT
DISPLAY.
•
CRISIS (default)—only CRISIS alarms activate the nurse call
connector.
•
WARNING—both CRISIS and WARNING alarms will
activate the nurse call connector.
•
ADVISORY—either a CRISIS, a WARNING, or an
ADVISORY alarm will activate the nurse call connector.
WARNING
After connecting the monitor to the central station and/or
nurse-call system, verify the function of the alarm system.
System status alarms are triggered by mechanical or electrical problems
and are of lesser priority than patient status alarms. The levels within the
System Status Alarm category and how the monitor responds to each are
shown in the following chart.
NOTE: The optional built-in handle alarm indicator is activated (flashes
yellow) when a system status alarm occurs.
