Damage
The position of threads, contact and guide
surfaces are indicated by arrows in the
illustration.
Examine for burrs and protrusions caused by
impact.
Clean the threads, contact and guide surfaces
with a suitable degreasing agent.

Cut hazard
The threads have sharp edges which can cause cuts.
If damage is found, rectify by using a whetstone
or fine emery cloth. Recommended grain size:
240.
If the damage is bad, use a fine single-cut file,
followed by a whetstone. After rectifying, the
threads have to be primed with Molykote 1000.

Contact surfaces to inspect on the bowl
5.3.9
Priming of bowl parts
The instruction refers to contact surfaces (dark
shaded) of both matching parts.
Before assembly:
1. These surfaces should be sprayed with Molykote
D321R after a careful cleaning.
2. Air cure for 15 minutes.
3. Polish to an even, homogenous surface.
4. Spray a second time.
5. Air cure for 15 minutes.
6. Polish to a shiny surface, the surface should look
like well polished leather when properly done.
7. Finish the treatment by lubricating the surfaces
with lubricating paste see
