Discharge mechanism
Dirt and lime deposits in the sludge discharge
mechanism can cause discharge malfunction
or no discharge.
•
Thoroughly clean and inspect the parts. Pay
special attention to important surfaces (1, 2, 3
and 4). If necessary, polish with steel wool.
•
Clean nozzles (5) using soft iron wire or similar.
Note that lime deposits can with advantage be
dissolved in a 10% acetic acid solution.
Use Loctite 242 on the threads if the nozzles
have been removed or replaced.

Bowl hood and sliding bowl

Poor sealing between the bowl hood seal ring
and the edge of the sliding bowl bottom will
cause a leakage of process liquid from the bowl.
