Clipping
In this menu
you can choose the requested Clipping method. Go to “Method” and make your
selection. Now you can make the parameter settings as requested (for entry of switch-, selection-
and numerical parameters please refer to sections 4.3.1, 4.3.2, 4.3.3.
Global Clipping
For the Global Clipping, a negative and a positive clipping limit must be
set. Furthermore, you can choose between the processing of either
absolute extremes (standard mode) or local extremes.
If you choose “local extremes”, a further parameter must be set, the
“minimum step height”. For the function and use of the Global Clipping
and its parameters please refer to section 8.3.3.1.
Domain Clipping
If you set to domain clipping, apart from the global clipping limits, the
parameters for the various domains (8 maximum) will be added. Each
domain can be enabled / disabled individually. For each domain you
can set the starting time (“from”) as well as the amplitude clipping value
(“Height”). If the amplitude clipping value has been set to 0, the global
clipping will be applied for this domain. The default processing direction
can be inversed by enabling the “invert” function.
For a description and the use of the variable clipping function please
refer to section 8.3.3.2.
As the parameters of the 8 clipping domains do not fit into one single
screen, a screen scroll bar is available on the right edge of screen. Use
the arrow up/down keys to scroll through the complete table.
Note:
A domain can not be activated before both numerical parameters of this
domain have been defined.
