13.2 PC CONNECTION FROM REMOTE VIA INTERNAL SERIAL MODEM
The iPro.CHILL range has an internal serial modem (OPTIONAL) through which it is possible to reach the
programmable controller by means of a remote connection.
Modem Connection (“or point to point connection”)
It is the most used method where a LAN network connection is not available, (Intranet or Internet). The use
of a dedicated telephone line is recommended in this case.
14. CONNECTION TO THE IPRO.CHILL VIA THE NETWORK PORT
The iPro.CHILL range always has a network output on board (ENABLING OF OPTIONAL FUNCTION)
through which it is possible to interface from local (directly with a PC) and in remote (using the INTERNET /
INTRANET network) with the programmable controller.
14.1 LOCAL CONNECTION TO THE PC
This type of connection will allow you to access the programmable controller from any PC connecting it
directly onto the network port. In this case the PC must be supplied with a network board. The network cable
between iPro.CHILL and PC must be the “crossed” type “
Cross over Cable
” (Dixell code CAB/WEB/PC).
