53. FUNCTION FOR PRODUCTION OF DOMESTIC HOT WATER
The function is enabled with the unit ON. In OFF or STD-BY the function is disabled.
In this mode the two temperature probes must be configured:
•
probe n° 1: it is used to detect the temperature of the domestic hot water and for temperature control
•
probe n° 2: it is used to display and any inhibition of the domestic hot water production function.
Regulation takes place on the set point
FS03
for the production of domestic hot water and with proportional
band
FS04
that can be set from the parameter.
The request for production of domestic hot water only takes place if the temperature is lower than the set-
point FS03 less band FS04; therefore on activation of the function, all compressors available will be
activated.
Regulation takes place as in illustration blow.
The insertion/removal of the steps follows the rules of normal temperature control for that concerning:
•
switch-on/off of the compressors (due to working hours or number of switch-on)
•
balancing/saturation of the circuits
•
steps insertion/removal times
Warning:
when the compressors are switched off before change over of the reverse valve, the compressors
protection times are annulled, but the delay times between the switch-off of two steps and between the
successive re-starts of the same after change over of the valve is kept.
Heaters for production of domestic hot water
The domestic hot water is mainly produced using the compressors. The heaters for the production of
domestic hot water are used only if one or more compressors are not available (for one alarm, in timing
mode, for intervention of the Unloading mode) or if, on expiry of a time that can be set at parameter, the
domestic hot water set-point has not been reached (see below for detailed description). The use or not of
heaters in the case in which a compressor is not available (even for temporary unavailability because in
safety timing mode), it can be set with parameter
FS08
.
The heaters are managed by steps (during regulation the band is divided by the number of compressors and
heaters available) and are activated respecting the delay times between the steps of the compressors
(CO04). If the heaters are active, the heaters icon is on and flashing. In the case of a steps request
(compressors and heaters), if the compressors are not temporarily available (due to active protection times),
the heaters are activated; the heaters are available (to integrate the production of domestic hot water or for
replacement of a compressor) only after output OUT2 for the production of domestic H
2
O is open.
