To remove the backup heater thermal protector

Prerequisite:

Stop the unit operation via the user interface.

Prerequisite:

Turn OFF the respective circuit breaker.

Prerequisite:

Remove the required plate work, see

Disconnect the backup heater thermal protector wires from the wire terminal
X7M: 5‑6.

Guide the wires through the grommet in the switch box.

Cut all tie straps that fix the backup heater protector harness.

Loosen and remove the 2 screws.

Backup heater

Remove the backup heater thermal protector together with the gasket from
the backup heater.

To install the backup heater thermal protector, see

To install the backup heater thermal protector

Install the backup heater thermal protector and new gasket on the backup
heater.
