You can avoid most problems by following the recommended installation and
maintenance procedures outlined in this User Guide. If you do have a problem,
this section will help you determine what caused it and how to fix it.
Before you open the side panels of the dryer be sure to:
❏
Diagnose causes from the control panel.
1
Navigate to the Alarm Log Screen.
The alarm log lists the alarms that have
been registered as well as the date and time of the alarm.
2
Address the alarm message and fix the problem.
(Refer to the alarm
descriptions later in this section.)
3
Press the "Acknowledge Alarm" button to acknowledge the highlighted
alarm.
A Shutdown Alarm needs to be Acknowledged and Reset, while a
Passive alarm only needs to be acknowledged for the alarm to become inactive
after the alarm condition has been fixed. If the alarm reappears, the problem
was not fixed.
❏
Find the wiring and equipment diagrams that were shipped with your
dryer. These diagrams are the best reference for correcting a problem. The
diagrams also will note any custom features, such as special wiring or alarm
capabilities, not covered in this User Guide. You can avoid most problems
